Time and time again Fresh Choice is the place to go. I love the wide selection and variety of halal meats, fresh produce, and pantry items and spices. The prices are competitive for Orange County. I leave satisfied every visit.

Very disappointed with Fresh Choice and their “Fancy Bakery Sangak.” I was told it was baked today, but it clearly wasn’t fresh. The texture was completely off — sangak is usually slightly crisp and toasted, but this one was oddly soft, gummy inside, and poorly baked with a pale crust. it cracks and falls apart when folded. The overall texture feels strange and very low quality uncooked. I don’t trust this bakery anymore, especially their sangak breaD

I had a very disappointing experience at the deli counter yesterday. The employee, Carmen—who identified herself as the deli manager—was extremely rude and unhelpful. I requested freshly cut cheese, but she refused, insisting that the pre-cut cheese on display had been prepared that same morning. However, the cheese clearly appeared oily, and I was not comfortable purchasing it. When I politely expressed my concern and asked for freshly cut slices, she refused again. I then asked to speak with a manager, only to be told that she was the manager and that what was available on display was all she would offer. When I insisted on speaking with someone else, she dismissively waved me off and told me to go to the front of the store to find another manager myself. I have photos showing the condition of the cheese, for several cheese plates as well as the labels on the back, which indicate different dates—clearly contradicting her statement that all items were freshly prepared that same day. Fresh Choice Marketplace in Anaheim Hills is one of those places that you walk into and immediately feel like it’s a step above your typical grocery store. It has that clean, well-organized, slightly upscale vibe, but still feels welcoming and easy to shop in. What stood out to me first was how fresh everything looked—especially the produce section. Fruits and vegetables were vibrant, well-stocked, and clearly maintained throughout the day. You don’t get that “picked over” feeling like in some other stores. It actually feels like they care about presentation and quality. Their selection is also pretty impressive. You’ll find your everyday essentials, but also a nice mix of specialty and gourmet items. It’s the kind of place where you can grab your weekly groceries but also discover something new—whether it’s a unique sauce, a healthier snack option, or something ready-made for a quick meal. Speaking of ready-made, their deli and prepared food section is a big plus. I love exploring stores, and this one caught my eye for offering halal meat options. Located in a small plaza in Anaheim, it has almost everything you need. However, the aisles are a bit narrow compared to other stores, which made shopping a little tricky with carts parked in the way. Despite this, the store’s square footage is well-utilized. The best part? The prices are affordable, and the quality of the items is excellent!
